Mia Kirk, MPH, serves as the Network’s Program Manager. In her role she coordinates virtual and in-person convenings, manages the Network communications strategy, and assists with budget and grant management. Prior to joining the Network, Mia worked as a research assistant with the Veterans Affair’s Military Sexual Trauma team in Boston to coordinate the department’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month as well as to collect data for a national study examining barriers to treating veterans with a history of sexual abuse. Mia is state certified as both a rape crisis counselor and as a domestic violence crisis counselor.
She graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in Health Science Education and completed her Masters in Public Health from Boston University. Mia lives in Oakland and volunteers at the East Bay SPCA on the weekends as a Feline Friend.
